SUPPORT OUR PROJECT
As a close friend of the General and former Ramsey County Sheriff, Bob Fletcher, stated during GVP’s funeral services in California in 2011, “I have never seen a leader like General Vang Pao who dedicated his entire life to his people. He made sure his people had all the opportunities to reach and achieve their dreams.”
Although we tried to capture as much of General Vang Pao's life as possible, we realized we could only include those photos--some never revealed to the public before--which we felt would tell the most compelling story about this great, yet enigmatic man and the people he served.
"It is beautiful work of literary art and a worthy tribute to the general. It shows his deep love for the Hmong people, and it reflects their deep love for him as well as pride in his accomplishments...," writes former CIA Chief of Station, B. Hugh Tovar. "The book will always be a source of pride and place of honor in my own household."
